I started this blog because I kept getting asked the same questions from friends abroad: what actually works in Korean skincare, which ingredients are worth the hype, and how to build a routine that doesn’t require ten steps and a chemistry degree to understand.

As someone bilingual in Korean and English, I’ve spent years navigating both worlds — reading Korean skincare research and community discussions, browsing the aisles of Olive Young, and translating what I’ve learned into something genuinely useful for readers who don’t have easy access to that side of the conversation.

My Approach

I try to separate genuine, evidence-backed skincare advice from marketing hype — including the hype that comes from K-beauty itself. Not every viral ingredient deserves the attention it gets, and not every 10-step routine is necessary for healthy skin. My goal is to give you the context to make informed choices about your own routine, whether that means going all-in on the full Korean skincare philosophy or picking just a few ingredients that solve your specific concerns.
